Contact Us

Make it easy for customers to contact you by having a link to this page from each page of your site. This is usually included in the 'main menu'.  Alternatively your contact us page could be a sub item linked to your about us page.  Although this page should have comprehensive details of all the methods of contact your customer can use you might also want to consider having your telephone number in the header of each page or an enquiry from embedded in all/selected pages.

Information you could include on your contact page:

  • Telephone/s
  • Department/Individual Email Addresses
  • Postal Address
  • Push to Talk Button
  • Live Chat
  • Skype/MSN
  • Links to Facebook, Twitter etc.
  • Map (if you have a retail business, or have an office where you accept personal visitors)

A few tips on customer contact...

It's of utmost importance that potential customers can contact you in a way that's convenient for them, but also in a way you will respond to them in a timely manner.  As customers are contacting you through their website, although some may prefer to telephone, others will find it most convenient to email or complete an enquiry/booking form.  In my own experience, I can't tell you how much it infuriated me to receive extremely slow responses from some hotels and tour operators (it particularly irked with the big ones!).  It makes potential customers feel totally undervalued and gives a negative impression before they've even communicated with anyone.

If staff are unable to check emails regularly, I would recommend using email to sms software which will alert you when a new email arrives (unless you want this every few minutes, I'd also recommend setting up a 'special' email address for new enquiries).  The same goes for live chat/Skype/MSN - if there is rarely someone at the computer to respond, don't bother including them...
